A long time ago, when the word human didn't even exist. A time when there was only the purity of nature, mermaids lived in one united society.

You must be wondering: so all mermaids were from a single clan? All with the same skills?

No, mermaids already had strong personalities and distinct abilities. It turns out that unlike "evolved humans", mermaids have always managed to live in harmony and respect differences.

Over the centuries, humans began to evolve.

Initially, they only risked getting into the water in search of food. At that time, we mermaids were able to live in harmony with them, there was a veiled respect between us.

It turns out that the evolution of the human being occurred in a very different way from ours....

Over the centuries, respect for marine life has been replaced by greed...

Fishing is no longer for food... it’s for money. The oceans gone from being a sanctity to being seen as a way to get rich and we merpeople have become an object of desire.

They were so enthralled by the glow of our tails, the power of our velvety voice and magical gaze, that they couldn't admit our freedom - so we hid and infiltrated among them.

After a while, humans stopped just taking things out of the sea and started throwing trash too. The destruction was gradual, one piece of garbage at a time, until it affected the corals, the fish began to die, the turtles grew around plastics and the once innocent fishing became massive, not even the great sharks escaped.

It was at this moment that our elders gathered, destructive evolution needed to be controlled, humans could not reach the secrets of the seas. Humans could never discover magic - the 7 seas must be protected at all costs.

The visions of that time follow to this day.

They set magic protection goals for each clan and stabilized their powers in one element to keep them stronger according to their area of expertise.

	The mermaids who draw power from the center of the earth believed that the safest thing is to keep their distance from humans and go as deep as possible to protect the creatures and secrets of the deep. These mermaids were responsible for protecting all the secrets of the sea and the great creatures and gave rise to the Abyssal clan.
	On the other hand, the mermaids whose power comes from the moon believed it was possible to live with humans, acting as diplomats on many occasions - as their metamorphosis power is highly evolved they travel the world looking to political and environmental causes to help in the conservation of the oceans, they gave rise to the Explorer clan.
	Mermaids ruled by the energy of corals, on the other hand, have always liked calm waters and humans. They have a love for beauty and innocence, often taking responsibility for impacting new generations of humans on the love and importance of the sea, these mermaids gave rise to the Tropical clan.
	And finally, there are the mermaids ruled by the force of thunder, they have a high energy, they cannot accept the destructive attitudes of human beings and prefer to go free without any connection with them. The mermaids' power of evolution is unparalleled, there is no other being with this ability. They choose to live on the open seas, free - destroying some fishing nets along the way and working together with the big sharks. These mermaids founded the Storm Clan.
